With collaboration with Lush, Haruko from VegeProject did vegan interview series and wrote about vegans’ lifestyle.

LUSH is a cosmetics and bath goods retailer and very popular in Japan too.
Their products are all vegetarian and they are against animal testing.
They have vegan products too and they’ve supported VegeProject.

Haruko interviewed with 5 vegans and publish the articles from the day of the world vegan day on LUSH life.

The first interviewee was Kobayashi, who is running a vegan curry cafe, where vegan and queer people can be in safe and enjoy his food.

Here is the part of Haruko’s editorial note.

I had a nice experience to interview with them. This is because, each interviewee has found “the really important value” for his/her self and has thought about it and tried to face to it.

The common things I though they have are, sympathy with other people and animals, and to see “something taken it for granted” with their own eyes. And hope. Against something which most of people can maybe give up thinking or making difference, they never give up and have already tried to change something they could. This is because, I think, they have hope for more peaceful future. I feel we can make the better future together with these people.

I’ve learnt a lot from 5 interviewees. With this interview series, I hope somebody who just knows “vegan” will start thinking vegans and veganism a bit more.(Haruko Kawano)
